Right Brain Musings

Life is unpredictable, to say the least.

We hope that things will “work out in our favor”. And in fact, it sometimes does. Some will reach the end of life and have few scars. And we will all agree “that person lived a good life”.  But did they?

The strongest people I know are the ones who have seemingly been dealt the worst deck. But that is just me. An outsider looking in. And “look”, I do. Partly because I want to learn what makes a person resilient in the face of some of the most challenging circumstances. But there is another reason I watch so intently. I am looking for the story. Stories are how we make sense of the world around us. Stories give us hope that we are not alone. As humans, we all want to find that story that we can connect with. The person, circumstance, hardship to help us make sense of our own story.
